Newly appointed Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui wants to sign Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea, say media reports.
New boss keen on De Gea signing
Julen Lopetegui has made bringing in the safe hand from Old Trafford his main transfer priority this summer transfer window, according to Spanish media reports.
Spanish publication Don Balon, as cited by the Daily Express, is claiming that the new boss in charge at the Spanish club has already listed his top transfer targets for the summer transfer window – and Red Devils goalkeeper De Gea is his main priority.
Lopetegui was formerly named as Zinedine Zidane’s successor at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday afternoon and he will take charge of the Los Blancos after this World Cup in Russia.
De Gea linked with Madrid move
The Man United star has long been heavily linked with a switch to the Spanish club and he was close to completing a move to Spain back in September 2015, before the transfer deal failed to materialize at the last hour.
The 27-year-old has been earning praises for his solid displays for the Red Devils recently and it looks like the transfer rumour linking the Spaniard with a move to Madrid won’t end any time soon.
