While signing top stars for his first-team at Anfield this summer, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp must ensure he holds on to certain superb youngsters in the club’s academy.
Some hours ago, Liverpool announced that 18-year-old Rhian Brewster has signed a new long-term deal with them.
The teenage sensation chose to commit his future to the Anfield club amidst his link with various top European sides.
The Mail stated that Brewster has put pen on paper for his first professional deal that will keep him at Merseyside till 2023.
Rhian is a versatile player who, despite being a natural centre-forward, can also effectively play on the left wing.
Last term, he played 11 times for the club’s U-23 side in the league and was able to score 5 goals with 7 assists. Additionally, he made 4 appearances in the UEFA Youth League and scored a goal for the reds.
Apart from his exploits at the Liverpool Youth side, the young England international has been superb for his country’s youth sides.
At the U-17 side, he was able to score some whopping 20 goals in 23 games. When he represented England at the U-16 level, he scored 4 times in 4 games for his country.
Rhian made England proud in the u-17 World Cup last year by helping them win the tournament. He scored a hat-trick against USA in the quarterfinals, before replicating another in the semifinals against Brazil.
