Andrea Belotti

Torino star player Andrea Belotti has been linked with joining Chelsea in recent times and has emerged as a target for the west Londoners this summer.

In a new development however, there are indications that the premier league champions will miss out on the Italian striker after Serie A heavyweights AC Milan made a big move to sign him.

Chelsea are yet to have a main top-name forward for next season after their Italian manager told Diego Costa that he is not part of his plans at the club for next term.

They have been linked with Romelu Lukaku for much of this summer, but the Belgian chose to reunite with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford in a deal worth around £75M.

After missing out on Romelu, the west London club are understood to be looking towards the direction of bringing in any of Alvaro Morata (from Real Madrid), Andrea Belotti (from Torino), and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (from Borussia Dortmund).

It is understood that Conte’s preference is that his side should sign Belotti following the 23-year-old’s impressive performances at Torino.

However, Italian news outlet Calciomercato are reporting that the talented striker desire joining AC Milan having been influenced by their big project.

The San Siro club have made eight new signings this summer, including Italian defender Leonardo Bonucci – who is expected to be the team’s captain next season.
