Chelsea’s two recent summer signings – Tiemoue Bakayoko and Antonio Rudiger won’t be expected to feature in Saturday’s friendly with Arsenal in China.
Chelsea are clashing with Arsenal at the Bird’s Nest Stadium in Beijing and many Chelsea fans had hoped their new legs would be seen show their worth.
Unfortunately, Frenchman Tiemoue Bakayoko who got signed from Monaco for £40 Million is said to be injured and won’t be able to play in the game. The 22-year-old is still recovering from a mild injury suffered towards the end of last season.
Also, Rudiger who arrived from Roma for £34m is still on vacation after he was given an extended break due to his participation in the Confederations Cup. However, he is expected to be back when Chelsea will be in Singapore.
Antonio Conte is ready to begin shaping his side ahead of the busy campaign ahead but one of his major stars Eden Hazard remains out due to an injury picked while on international duty.
The Belgian won’t be playing against Arsenal in China alongside the duo of Diego Costa and Nemanja Matic who are not taking part in the tour due to the uncertainty that surrounds their future.
It is now very obvious that Costa will be leaving Stamford Bridge after Antonio Conte told him he is not part of his plans at the club for next term.
Matic also has been linked with joining his former manager Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford and the arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko is expected to trigger the exit.
