The back room staff at Chelsea were dealt a huge blow earlier this week following the news that star forward Eden Hazard has agreed to personal terms with Champions League holders Real Madrid ahead of a potential transfer to the club at the end of this season after they had failed to persuade the player to keep faith with the English team and ignore a move to the Spanish La liga .
The Belgian national team skipper Eden Hazard has 18 months left on his current Chelsea contract and the Blues are desperate for him to put pen to paper on a new contract.
Chelsea may have to cash in on him in the summer to risk losing him for free in 2020 in the event that he does not sign a contract extension.
It’s no news Real Madrid are said to be the overwhelming favourites for him ahead of other interested clubs like Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Manchester United.
The Blues have already started the hunt for a replacement and they have identified a Premier League star to replace him.
According to British media outlet Talk sport, Crystal Palace Wilfried Zaha is that man though the Blues still have doubts over his temperament.
This is because of his unsuccessful stint at Manchester United earlier in his career.
Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale, 30, was also mentioned as a possible replacement for Eden Hazard though age is not on his side.
