North London outfit Arsenal will seek redemption when they file out before their fans at the Emirates Stadium to face French Ligue 1 outfit Rennes for the second leg of the Europa League round of 16.

The Gunners had suffered a 3-1 defeat away from home in the first leg which places them at the risk of losing out of the competition.

With a view of redeeming the fate of the club, Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira does not mind the reactions of the fans as he does not wish the North London outfit any luck as he makes open his love for Stade Rennes.

The former Arsenal captain said he did not watch the first leg between both teams but noted that he was not in any way surprised hearing the result because the Ligue 1 outfit are a good side.

He stressed that they have got a perfect attacking side that have the ability to score goals in every minute of a game.

Patrick Vieira said Rennes’s first leg victory against Arsenal is good for French football, noting that he will give his support to Rennes and all the French teams in the Europa League.

However, Arsenal will hope to secure a convincing win against the Ligue 1 outfit so as to qualify to the next round.
