Manchester United are keen on their summer target and Tottenham Hotspur star Toby Alderweireld and are reported to be preparing a £40 million bid for his signature.
Toby Alderweireld was manager Jose Mourinho’s top target in the last summer transfer window but he failed in his attempt as he did not get the support of the club’s management.
With reports that the Portuguese boss has already had an understanding with United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward, there are chances that the Red Devils will storm the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks for more players especially defenders.
Toby Alderweireld has therefore been identified as a top target as he enters into his last six months of his contract with the North London side with the hope that he can have a switch to the Old Trafford.
It has been a very challenging season for the former Chelsea boss who has seen his side ship in 26 goals in 16 Premier League games and he is keen on having a change in the second stanza of the season which starts in January.
However, United have lined up Napoli key man Kalidou Koulibaly as an option should they fail in their attempt for Toby Alderweireld.
