United open Transfer window with official negotiation for prolific defender
With the winter transfer window officially opened, Man United are not ready to be left out as they begin the first day with official negotiation for the signature of Italian Serie A outfit Fiorentina central defender Nikola Milenkovic, according to latest reports.
The Red Devils have not hidden their intention to secure the signature of a high levelled central defender in order to challenge through the second half of the season.
Man United are in the risk of losing out of the Champions League next season as breaking through to the top four has been difficult, the reason why they are desperate to equip their team to ensure a top four finish at the end of the season.
Italian daily newspaper, La Repubblica, Manchester United bosses are pushing to secure Nikola Milenkovic’s signature in coming days with negotiations already ongoing.
However, the Italian outlet also claims the Serbia international’s agent has been talking to the club in a bid to sign a deal and should they agree, there will be no movement on the cards for the star defender.
Meanwhile, United’s former manager Jose Mourinho had previously scouted Nikola Milenkovic while he was on international duty and had hoped to bring him to the Old Trafford should he remained as the head coach of the team.
