United no longer convinced about £31m top target?

Ivan Perisic

Manchester United seem to be reconsidering its stance on one of its long-term target Ivan Perisic ahead of the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.

Ivan Perisic has been on the Red Devils’ wanted list for a long-term to every attempt to have him join the Old Trafford have always failed with the latest being refused by the player in the last summer.

However, there seems to be a twist in the pursuit of the experienced player as he is currently suffering a dip in form which has been an issue to his side.

United are scared of not repeating the same mistake with former North London outfit Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez and that is making them reconsider their wish for him.

Before now, Ivan Perisic was a special player for the Italian Serie A outfit Inter Milan having helped them return to Champions League football with his 11 goals and 11 assists in 37 appearances last season.

This have changed so far with the Croatia international this season as he has scored just 2 goals and gave 2 assists in 18 games which is short of what he is known for.

With this development, the Red Devils might be forced to look elsewhere in search of other players rather than invest £31 million on Ivan Perisic.
