Tottenham chief Daniel Levy has asked for the availability of Manchester United striker Anthony Martial in order to have him move to the London side.
The French forward has been on the spotlight in the past few days having helped the Red Devils snatch a point from Chelsea in the Saturday Premier League encounter.
Martial was earlier snubbed at the beginning of the season but he seems to have found his form and would be considered for subsequent games by manager Jose Mourinho.
With the new found form, United are unwilling to let the former Monaco star leave and have told Tottenham that the player is not available for sale.
Martial had pondered leaving the Old Trafford as a result of the frustration of not playing regularly which led to speculations that he will not commit his future to the club with the wish to have a move away.
However, despite seeming calm, there are reports that Martial is still interested in leaving the Red Devils at the end of the summer but United executive vice-chairman has said no to a move away from the club.
Woodward has identified the player as one who will form a major part of the club’s future as well as one of the best players in the world.
