Arsenal boss Unai Emery has told fans he wishes to end the narrative of his side failing to meet up to expectations each time they face bigger clubs.

The same was repeated under the Spanish manager as he was defeated in his first two competitive games as the Gunners boss against Manchester City and Chelsea respectively.

With a big clash ahead on Saturday evening, the former PSG boss vows he will change the narrative to stop the Reds when they come visiting on Saturday evening.

Last season was not a good one for the North London side as they managed just six points from matches against other teams from the traditional top six under former manager Arsene Wenger.

Emery said he wants to write a new history for the club with our players by making use of the right quality and capacity.

According to him, it is a project for himself and the players which must be achieved as he expressed positives ahead of the game.

The manager noted that there is a new mentality in the team and he is hoping to make use of the mentality to play Liverpool.

However, a defeat for the Merseyside club will mean their first defeat in the Premier League this season while otherwise will bring an end to the unbeaten run by the host team having done 13.
