Premier League giants Liverpool have reportedly been handed a major transfer boost following the update on their chase for Paris Saint Germain (PSG) midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
It has been revealed that two major European clubs namely Barcelona and Bayern Munich have dropped out of the race to sign the French international player.
Premier League clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Liverpool have all been touted as a potential transfer destination for the 23-year-old who has some few months to go before his PSG contract expires.
According to the report from Anfieldhq, both clubs’ decision to pull out of the race could be linked to financial reasons.
Spanish La Liga Champions Barcelona were thought to have agreed on a free transfer move for him last month but the player’s demands blew the Catalans out of the waters and that prompted them to focus attention on Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Frenkie De Jong.
Barcelona have since signed De Jong with the Dutch international expected to join the Catalan giants this summer.
For Bayern Munich, German newspaper Kicker revealed that the Bavarian giants held talks in a bid to sign him only for them to realise that the financial demands from the player do not justify the output they’ll be GEtting from him.
