Chelsea summer signing Alvaro Morata has disclosed the real meaning behind his goal jubilation, and it’s a touching story.
The Spain international striker opened the scoring in the Blues impressive 4-0 triumph over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon, as he scored from a rebound from playmaker Eden Hazard’s saved shot.
While celebrating his 8th goal of the English Premier League season, Alvaro Morata, with his finger, made the letter ‘A’, as he usually does when celebrating a goal.
After the Saturday game, he publicly explained the true meaning of the goal celebration on his personal Instagram page, disclosing that the letter ‘A’ is from his wife’s surname, Alice.

“Always A I [Alvaro Morata] love you [Alice campello] so much @alicecampello”, the striker captioned on his Instagram account.
The former Real Madrid striker and Alice, A&A, got tied the knot just last summer before the Spaniard, 25, completed his much-talked transfer to Premier League Champions Chelsea from La Liga giant Real Madrid. The couple look to be very happy together!
Alvaro Morata and Chelsea return to UEFA Champions League duty on Wednesday evening with an away trip to Qarabag, before switching their attention towards their crucial clash against Merseyside giant Liverpool at Anfield Stadium in the English Premier League next on Saturday.
