Thomas Lemar was heavily linked with a move away from Monaco during the past summer transfer window after emerging as a target for a handful of top clubs across Europe including Liverpool and Arsenal.
The reds were strongly interested in the talented youngster, but a move couldn’t materialise before the closure of the window.
However, there are reports the Merseyside club are looking to finally get the Frenchman’s signature in January.
A few days back, there were widespread speculations from France that Liverpool will take advantage of the upcoming winter transfer window to sign Lemar.
Currently, in the same vein, the Independent made it known that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has a longstanding interest in Thomas and will definitely go for the player next month.
The 22-year-old, who is rated around £90million, scored 14 times and provided 17 assists to his teammates at Monaco last season, helping his club win the Ligue 1 title ahead of PSG.
This season, however, he has been able to score just twice in 17 games so far for the Ligue 1 champions.
Chelsea and Liverpool are also keen on signing the talented winger, but reports claimed his most preferred choice is to move to Anfield.
Definitely, we will sure see interesting things in the premier league when January comes.
