Former Arsenal forward Thierry Henry has declared his desire to replace current manager Arsene Wenger following his former team’s poor performance and the loss against Manchester City in Sunday’s League Cup final.

Disappointing display and result

Arsenal slumped to a 3-0 defeat to Pep Guardiola’s boys, who themselves weren’t at their best in a victory that was easy for them from the beginning to end.

Undoubtedly, this will put Arsene Wenger under more pressure after another woeful season at the North London club, with a top-four finish not guaranteed at this moment.

Considering that that was what has been keeping the Frenchman in his job for long, many supporters will feel he’s certainly used up his last opportunity if he fails to qualify for the UEFA Champions League for two years in a row.

Henry share fan frustration

Thierry Henry may share their anger as the team become a shadow of what the club was during his playing days at the North London outfit, and he’s sent the strong message that he’s keen on the job if the club want him.

He confirmed he still have a job to do with the Belgium national team, but anything could happen in the future.

Henry said it will be a dream come true for him, but he is still with Belgium, but confirmed he is interested in the Arsenal job.
