Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has said that he does not know exactly where his long-term future lies as rumour lingers on a possible move away from Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian goalie is widely seen as one of the finest shot-stoppers in world football, but his current situation at the club has been a source of rumour because his current deal at the west London outfit is due to run out when the season end.

The safe hand has confirmed that he is in contract talks with Chelsea about the possibility of renewing his current deal at the club.

The 25-year-old fuelled speculations that he could be ready for a move to La Liga side Real Madrid this month when he confirmed that his “heart” is in the City of Madrid because that’s where his family are currently based.

However, the safe hand has moved to play down those remarks by insisting he is still not sure of where his playing future lies in the long term.

The reigning Premier League Champions return to League duty on Sunday with a crucial clash against rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford.
