The safe hand has confirmed that he is in contract talks with Chelsea about the possibility of renewing his current deal at the club.

The 25-year-old fuelled speculations that he could be ready for a move to La Liga side Real Madrid this month when he confirmed that his “heart” is in the City of Madrid because that’s where his family are currently based.
However, the safe hand has moved to play down those remarks by insisting he is still not sure of where his playing future lies in the long term.
