Manchester United finalised a deal for Brazilian midfielder Fred this week after settling his work permit and offering him a five-year deal at Old Trafford.

Fred, who is currently with his national side in Russia for the World Cup, won’t be returning to Shakhtar Donetsk next season.

Instead, he will head to Manchester to join his new teammates at the Theater of Dreams. And the fans are delighted to have a superb midfielder like Fred at the club.

Manchester United fans are all over twitter singing Fred’s praises and hailing the South American star. We can’t help but smile at some of their comments and exclamations, expressing their excitements and how happy they are.

One thing is glaring: Fred now has numerous new fans, and the Old Trafford faithfuls are expecting a lot from him.

Micheal Carrick retired at the end of last season and Jose Mourinho chose to sign Fred as a replacement for the English legend.

While unveiling the now-former Shakhtar Donetsk star, Mourinho hailed him as a player with a ‘creative brain’.

The Portuguese tactician is expected to sign a second midfielder if Marouane Fellaini failed to extend his stay at Old Trafford this summer.
