Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch is on the verge of securing a return to the Premier League before the end of the current January transfer window.
The retired England international is on the payroll of English Championship club Stoke City at the moment.
He was part of the Potters squad that suffered relegation from the Premier League last season.
Crouch, 38, is closing in on a transfer to Premier League club Burnley in a swap deal that will see Clarets striker Sam Vokes move in the other direction.
Stoke City will offer a player-plus-cash deal to sign Welsh international Sam Vokes.
Peter Crouch could be joined by either Birmingham City striker Che Adams or Southampton striker Charlie Austin at the club.
Burnley want to sign another striker apart from the aforementioned Crouch and they have been linked with Che Adams and former player Charlie Austin.
Austin is surplus to requirements at Southampton but the Saints are only interested in a permanent deal for him rather than a loan deal.
Peter Crouch played for Liverpool for three years between 2005 and 2008.
He scored 22 goals in 85 appearances for the Reds in the Premier League in addition to 22 goals in 42 Three Lions of England matches.
