Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton has advised Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid to opt for Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling over Blues talisman Eden Hazard.

In a chat with the Daily Mail, former Celtic and Chelsea player Sutton praised Raheem Sterling as he revealed that the England international is now a world class player.

He further revealed that outgoing European champions Real Madrid should be trying to sign former Liverpool star Sterling ahead of Hazard.

Real Madrid are expected to rebuild their team this summer and several players including Sterling and Hazard have been linked with a move to the club.

Chris Sutton was speaking after Raheem Sterling added another goal for England against Montenegro.

Sterling scored the fifth and final goal for the Three Lions of England who had to come from a goal down to beat hosts Montenegro 5-1 in their second game of the Euro 2020 qualifiers.

The 24-year-old has now scored four goals in his last two games for his country after his treble in the first qualifying match.

Raheem Sterling scored a hattrick as England pummelled Czech Republic 5-0 at home to open their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign with a win.

Apart from Sterling, the trio of Harry Kane, Ross Barkley and Michael Keane were all on target for the 1966 world champions after Montenegro had taken a 17th-minute lead through Marko Vesovic.
