Paris Saint Germain are prepared to make an offer of £70 million for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, according to reports.
The 28-year-old is said to have entered negotiations with the French giants over a potential move after the player made it clear that he does not want to remain at Arsenal, refusing the club’s efforts to tie him to a new deal.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has come out to claim that the forward is not for sale despite him refusing a new contract with just one year on his current deal which could see the Gunners lose him for free next summer.
It is understood that Manchester City is the preferred destination for Alexis Sanchez but Arsenal will not sell to a direct rival and even will reluctantly allow him leave to join a side outside the Premier League.
Reports in the Daily Mirror claim that PSG have held positive talks with Sanchez over a deal that will be worth £400,000-a-week while they hope to convince Arsenal to sell with a £70 million transfer offer.
Paris Saint Germain are said to be keen on landing a superstar forward this window and a targeting the Chilean attacker who has also come out to indicate that he wants to play in the Champions League next season which the Ligue 1 side are will offer him.
