Kieran Tierney

According to new reports, former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson okays the Old Trafford club’s interest in Celtic star and Arsenal’s target Kieran Tierney.

The youngster is attracting plenty of interest and Manchester United current manager Jose Mourinho is said to be interested in signing the Scotland international this summer transfer window. It was added that the Portuguese tactician has had Kieran watched on a number of times this current campaign.

However, the Old Trafford club are not the only ones looking to sign the defender, as they will be facing competition from premier league rival Arsenal.

With Arsenal’s Kieran Gibbs expected to leave the North London club, the Gunners are expected to enter the race for the talented star.

However, it was reported that the 19-year-old favours a move to Man United and the club’s interest in him has been backed by Sir Alex – with the legend said to be impressed with him and approves of Jose making a move for the full-back.

If Tierney should come, Luke Shaw’s future at United would be thrown into further doubt. Also, others like Matteo Darmian are expected to be the first to leave the club.

Sir Alex Ferguson is more involved at his former club under the new manager Jose Mourinho. The Scot regularly travels with the team when they have away games.
