Man City close to snapping up United target

It has been revealed by journalist Duncan Castles that English Premier League side Man City are keen on the signature of Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid star Rodri ahead of the comings summer transfer window.

Rodri has longed been linked with a move to the Old Trafford as Man United already indicated interest in his signature but the Citizens are set to snap up the deal as they are desperate to secure a replacement for Fernandinho.

Fernandinho is no doubt one of the greatest players at Man City in his six years stay at the club as he has pulled 266 appearances and was crucial to the club’s two Premier League wins. He is now 33 and might not be able to meet up with the demands and level manager Pep Guardiola would seek for in the coming season which is the reason why a move is already made to have him join the club.

However, the journalist has revealed that Man City are keen on the player and are now in advanced talks as they have made him a top priority ahead of the coming summer window.

This, therefore, means that the Red Devils will face other direction as their rivals could win against them for Rodri.
