Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata is thought to be a top transfer target for Italian Serie A side AC Milan this summer transfer window.
Difficult Premier league debut for striker at Chelsea
The Chelsea striker endured a difficult debut campaign in England. Alvaro Morata started the season pretty well but struggled heavily to develop and was suffered injury setback.
The Emirates FA Cup holders were forced to secure the signature of France international forward Olivier Giroud in the last winter transfer window to provide alternative avenue of goals but it looks like the Blues are in the market for another new forward this summer window, with Poland international striker Robert Lewandowski and Argentine international striker Gonzalo Higuain both heavily linked.
The Spain international striker has been heavily linked with a switch to Serie A heavyweights AC Milan and Juventus throughout the past few weeks and as per fresh Italian reports, Gennaro Gattuso’s team have made the capturing of the Chelsea striker a top priority.
Chelsea striker linked with Serie A return
The former Juventus and Real Madrid forward has been seen in Italy on severally lately but it’s believed that this was rather for leisure and pleasure, rather than transfer business.
The forward will be hoping to enjoy a more productive campaign in 2018/19, but whether the striker will be plying his trade at Stamford Bridge or in Italy once again remains to be known.
