Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has disclosed that he’s expecting a strong response from Manchester United ahead of their Premier League clash at the Theatre of Dreams at the weekend.
Manchester United host Chelsea at home in their second league meeting of the season and Italian tactician Sarri expects a tough encounter with the Red Devils.
Sarri was speaking during his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon ahead of the game scheduled for Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
Manchester United have come under serious scrutiny after their poor run of form especially in the Premier League but Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is expecting a tough game despite the Red Devils’ form as both teams jostle for a top-four finish that will guarantee Champions League football next season.
Chelsea have a very poor away record against the rest of the top six Premier League sides this season and Sarri will be hoping to change that starting with the Manchester United game at Old Trafford this weekend.
The Blues have lost all four of their away games against top six sides in the league this season.
As a matter of fact, Chelsea have scored just one goal in those four games and have also conceded a whopping 13 goals but they have more of a chance against Manchester United who have lost their last two games in the league and are yet to win at home against a top six opposition.
