Sadio Mane names ex Liverpool controversial star and this Brazil legend as his football heroes
Senegal international and Liverpool current highest goal scorer, Sadio Mane is having a great time this season after amassing a lot of popularity following his performance in the EPL so far, which have helped keep Liverpool at the top.
Sadio Mane already has four goals in four matches to his name above Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino.
It is not as though the Senegal international is just performing at Anfield as he had done something similar last season scoring 20 goals (10 in the Champions League) in all competition for the Reds.
However, Sadio Mane in a recent statement listed out two players who are his football heroes.
According to the Liverpool forward, he holds the duo of Liverpool ex-controversial star El-Hadji Diouf and Brazil legendary player, Ronaldinho in high esteem.
He added that the two were great players with great dribbling skills.
Sadio Mane went on to disclose that he was very much a dribbler as a young player but experience over the years had taught him that scoring goals is what matters.
We believe Sadio Mane chose the controversial star, Diouf as one of his favourite players owing to the fact that the former Reds player is also from his home country, Senegal.
El-Hadji Diouf was one of the most controversial players during his stay at Anfield as he was always arguing with Steven Gerrard and complaining of racism.
