Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho has revealed he was close to joining Manchester United before he moved to Barcelona.
The former Barca ace is one of the best players to have graced the game, due to his wonderful displays for the Catalans that won them numerous trophies.
Ronaldinho has now revealed that he almost joined the Red Devils, before his move to the Camp Nou. He said: “When I was set to leave PSG , I was really close to Manchester United.
“A deal was almost in place but then in the end I signed with Barcelona instead.
“Manchester United are a great club and the EPL is a fantastic league but I think I made the right decision when I decided to join Barcelona instead.
“La Liga is also an amazing league and I think I made the right choice since it allowed me to reach my personal objectives”.
Manchester United are currently being linked with a move for fellow Brazilian forward Neymar who is believed to be considering other options after been overshadowed by Lionel Messi at the Camp Nou.
Although, Barcelona are not willing to sell the 24-year-old who has been an impressive figure at the Camp Nou since his mega-move in 2013 from Santos.
