One-time European champions Chelsea are said to eyeing a summer move for Watford manager Javi Gracias if they decide to let Maurizio Sarri leave the club after just one season in charge.

According to the Daily Express, Chelsea is skeptical about the idea of letting Sarri continue his managerial career at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri could leave the club this summer with senior Blues officials still undecided over his stay.

The aforementioned publication revealed that Chelsea officials have not decided whether to sack Sarri or give him another season.

The Italian tactician became the manager last summer and he has endured a topsy-turvy relationship with the Chelsea supporters as a result of results on the pitch.

Sarri led Chelsea to third place at the end of the Premier League season.

In addition, the former Empoli and Napoli boss has led Chelsea to two finals.

Chelsea lost the Carabao Cup final to Premier League champions Manchester City via penalties in February and will also contest the Europa League final with London rivals Arsenal.

The Chelsea officials could replace Sarri with Watford manager Javi Gracias who has done well in charge of the Hornets.
