Brazil legend makes a shocking revelation about Real Madrid stopping his move to Chelsea
One of the greatest footballers who made the world of football interesting was Brazil international, Robinho.
In the last decade, Robinho will have turned out to be one of the most successful players in the world especially during his stay at Spanish club, Real Madrid.
However, the Brazil star is known for his character which in turn landed him in trouble at Santiago Bernabeu and saw him leave Spain for England in 2008.
Robinho joined English side, Manchester City in 2008 but didn’t have a splendid career at the football club.
During his two-year spell at Manchester City, he netted 15 goals and made 12 assists in 53 appearances in all competitions.
He finally left for Italian club, AC Milan in 2010.
However, Robinho in a latest statement has disclosed he had preferred a move to Chelsea back in 2008 but was held back by Real Madrid who sanctioned his move to Manchester City instead.
The Brazil international claimed the move to Stamford Bridge fell through because Real Madrid did not like the fact that the Blues were already selling shirts with his name emblazoned on it before a final deal was made.
