According to Italian media reports, Premier League champions Chelsea are set to meet Juventus’ €35m valuation of defender Daniele Rugani this summer transfer window.
Chelsea set to complete move
Italian publication Calcionews24.com, as cited by 101 Great Goals, is suggesting that Chelsea are set to pay the fee to seal their first summer signing.
The same report states that the Blues are hoping to complete the signing of 23-year-old as Italian tactician Maurizio Sarri gets set to take over at the West London club this summer transfer window.
As per the same report, Chelsea are very much hopeful of completing a transfer deal to land Rugani before appointing the former Napoli head coach as the side’s new boss this summer window.
Serie A side seek replacement
It is also suggested in the same report that Serie A Champions Juventus have already started their summer search for a replacement, with AFC Ajax’s Matthijs de Ligt being highly targeted by the Turin giants.
The Blues are beginning to be connected with a number of top players this summer window but Chelsea are yet to confirm the acquisition of any new recruit ahead of next campaign.
The 2017 premier league champions are likely to be interested in significantly strengthening their team this summer window, as the attempt to break back into the League’s top four next term.
