Former Ferguson assistant gives United this strict instruction

Manchester United have been told by former assistant manager Rene Meulensteen under legendary boss Alex Ferguson that there is a need to immediately replace Nemanja Matic in the club’s middle.

The Red Devils are currently struggling with quality performance and it has been agreed that former Juventus man Paul Pogba has not had the best because he has not gotten the right player to play with at the club.

Nemanja Matic who joined the Old Trafford from West London outfit Chelsea in 2017 is described as being slow and lacks the mobility to complement Paul Pogba.

Although Nemanja Matic has since rediscovered his form under new interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after a very sole start under former boss Jose Mourinho, he is still believed not to be good enough and be replaced, according to the former assistant manager.

Rene Meulensteen has admitted that Nemanja Matic remains a good player who will definitely have his good fit but noted that his style cannot be accommodated at the Old Trafford because of the kind of people he plays with.

He made it clear that United need a fast player who can dictate the tempo of a game and also maintain a good balance for Paul Pogba to be able to pull an attack.
