Reigning European champions Real Madrid will reportedly make a new approach for Chelsea forward Eden Hazard this week as they try to improve their playing squad ahead of next season.

This is according to the publication from The Telegraph which claimed that the Spanish giants want to strengthen their squad with the Belgian international player.

It was revealed that Real Madrid would make a fresh approach for Hazard and that the Los Merengues want to sign him before the end of this season.

Chelsea want £100m for their talisman but Real Madrid are quietly confident that they can secure his signature for £85m.

Earlier reports claim that Real Madrid have made Eden Hazard their number one transfer target ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

Eden Hazard has a little over a year left on his current deal with Chelsea and he’s not expected to sign a new deal amidst strong interests from Real Madrid.

The 28-year-old has talked up a move to Real Madrid in the past though he has always maintained that his focus is on Chelsea.

Eden Hazard has been in superb form for Chelsea this season with 14 goals and 12 assists in the Premier League as the Blues try to chase down a top-four place.
