Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino insists there is no issue between him and Danny Rose after his side’s defeat against Arsenal on Saturday.
Tottenham lost 2-0 at the Emirates while Rose was dropped from the matchday squad.
The Englishman made the starting XI for his country in the friendly game against Germany last Friday, and also participated in the 0-0 draw with Brazil earlier this week.
But manager Mauricio Pochettino didn’t deem him fit enough to play against Arsene Wenger’s side on Saturday, and he stayed back at their training ground to train with the younger players.
The full-back is thought to have a fall-out with Mauricio after publicly criticising the club some months back, and he had been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United in recent times.
However, the Argentine boss has played down fears that there is something ulterior behind his decision to drop the former Leeds player today.
Speaking to newsmen after the 2-0 defeat, the tactician said Danny was only building fitness after his long lay-off, and like he did to Erik Lamela, Rose, after 10 months out, also need to build his fitness.
The manager also claimed there is no problem whatsoever between himself and the player, and he regards the speculations as ‘situation that is not an issue’.
