Club Boss Sends Stern Messages To Chelsea: He Is Going Nowhere

Argentina striker Sergio Aguero has emerged as a surprise target for Chelsea this summer with Antonio Conte determined to bolster his squad ahead of a busy campaign next season.

However, City boss Pep Guardiola has insisted the player belongs at the club amid speculation about his future at Manchester.

Ever since arriving at the Etihad club back in 2011 in a deal worth around £38 Million, the Argentine has scored 169 goals in 253 appearances for City. However, since when the club brought in former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola last summer, Sergio has found himself out of the club’s starting XI following the arrival of Gabriel Jesus in January.

And there were speculations that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte had been weighing up a move for the 29-year-old before his side were able to eventually secured a £70m deal for Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata on Wednesday.

But considering that Diego Costa is likely to depart the club in the coming weeks, the premier league champions may still feel like bringing in another striker before the next campaign begin.

And Guardiola, speaking on the recent rumours linking Aguero with a move away, insisted that the deadly attacker is a City player and will remain in the club.

Another striker who is heavily linked with joining Chelsea this summer is Torino’s Andrea Belotti. But the move for Morata will likely make Chelsea drop their interest in the Italian striker.
