Arsenal reportedly agree to sell star player in January to make way for £92 million star



Chilean Alexis Sanchez transfer saga does not look to be ending soon with yet another news regarding the 28-year-old’s future.

The Chile international made no secret of his intention to leave the Emirates Stadium and came agonizingly close to leaving.

The inability of Arsenal to bring in a replacement in Monaco star Thomas Lemar meant Alexis Sanchez was denied a transfer away. It is now being claimed that the attacker could be used in a swap deal with French Ligue 1 club AS Monaco for the player Arsene Wenger is willing to sign to replace him.

According to The Sun via Metro, Arsenal tactician Arsene Wenger is acutely aware that the Chilean will not sign a new contract at the club, which runs out at the end of the season, and is now set to use Sanchez as a makeweight in January for the Monaco star.

The Arsenal boss missed out on a transfer for the Frenchman on transfer deadline day but has confirmed he will reignite his interest in the Monaco starlet.

The Gunners had a £92 million bid for Thomas Lemar accepted by AS Monaco but could not seal the move with few time left in the transfer window, the midfielder then decided to remain with Monaco for another season.
