France international striker Olivier Giroud has confirmed he will stay at the North London club and honour his two-year deal despite speculations linking him with a transfer away.

It looks like the striker got a taste of what to expect during the FA Community Shield at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. The France striker was left on the bench with manager Arsene Wenger favouring to start new signing from Lyon Alexandre Lacazette to spearhead the attack.

Olivier Giroud did finally came on, but it looked like a dress rehearsal of things to come in the future at the Emirate. The signing of Frenchman Lacazette will only reduce Giroud’s participation in the team, but it looks like he will be satisfied with that.

Olivier Giroud has been linked with a transfer to Everton, but it seems like Arsene Wenger still wants Giroud to remain.

It was not a great performance of his Arsenal career on Sunday, but Giroud has shown his quality on several occasions in the last few seasons. New signing Alexandre Lacazette will be the main striker for Arsenal, but Giroud offers something different. If he is satisfied to be used as a deputy, then the Gunners should keep Giroud.
