Arsenal midfielder Jon Toral has finally returned to the North London club from his loan spell at La Liga side Granada. Granada have eventually arrived an agreement with Arsenal to cut short the player’s loan spell.
In the contract, the Gunners had the option to recall Toral in January and they have done just that.
The switch is no longer a rumour, but has been confirmed on Granada’s official website. The Spanish club additionally wished Toral best of luck in his endeavours.
“Granada CF wants to wish the best of luck to a player who always defended with absolute professionalism and was scored a beautiful goal against Osasuna in this season’s Copa del Rey.” Granada stated on their official website.
Toral joined Granada at the start of this season on loan, but has struggled get regular starting time at the club. He is now being linked with a move to Scottish side Rangers. Rangers are reportedly willing to sign the Spaniard on loan for the remainder of this season. After the gunners win over Preston, coach Arsene Wenger also made a comment about how the club are working on Toral’s transfer to Rangers.
The Frenchman also thinks a move to the Scottish league could benefit the player.
“Yes [it will benefit him], because he has played games there [for Granada] but at the moment he doesn’t play and personally I think it [Rangers] would be a good transition for him.” the boss said.
