According to an Italian newspaper Tuttosport today, EPL table leaders Chelsea FC are losing the chance to sign Sead Kolasinac from Schalke 04.
The Italian outlet claims that the Stamford Bridge club were in negotiations for the left-back on deadline day, but not only them – even the duo of juventus and Milan too.
Chelsea Italian manager Antonio Conte reportedly wanted the player to join his side still in the January transfer window. However, Schalke were demanding €8m for the 23-year-old player whose contract expires at the end of the season. The blues refused to pay that though.
Tuttosport also reported on deadline day that Conte’s side were staging an ‘ultimate last minute blitz’ to sign the player, following claims from Germany on Monday that the Stamford Bridge club were keen to sign the player.
Now however, Tuttosport said that Serie A table leaders Juventus ended up convincing the player and that they already have an agreement to sign him at the end of his contract.
Since there are still a few days until Sead can sign a pre-contract with the Juve, there would still be some time for Chelsea to try to convince him for his signature.
Even though Tuttosport appear pretty certain about the agreement with the Old Lady showcasing that the Blues may have missed their final chance on Tuesday, we all know Tuttosport are a Turin newspaper – so they could be reporting this from a viewpoint biased to Juventus
