Premier League giants Liverpool have been linked with a move for RB Leipzig defender Nordi Mukiele ahead of the upcoming transfer window in the New Year.
The 21-year-old player can play as a right-back or as a centre back and he could be a fantastic replacement for Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne.
The England international defender has not reached the heights of two to three seasons back for the Reds following injuries and loss of form on the part of the former Southampton player.
Mukiele could be a quality replacement for him if he is eventually signed by the team.
The Frenchman came into prominence in the last campaign when he made 33 appearances for French Ligue 1 side Montpellier.
He impressed in the colours of the former French champions and that earned him a £14m move to the German Bundesliga with RB Leipzig.
He has made a positive start to his career at the club.
Mukiele has made eight appearances in the league, making two tackles per game as well as 1.3 interception in every 90 minutes.
He has made 1.6 successful dribbles per 90 minutes and he’s currently rated at £12.6m.
Nordi Mukiele would almost certainly add immense quality to a Reds rearguard that’s gradually improving from previous seasons.
