Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne has been linked with a move to newly promoted Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers ahead of the upcoming transfer window in the New Year.
The 27-year-old has not had much of a playing time under Jurgen Klopp for the better part of the last one year.
He’s now the third choice right-back in the Liverpool team with the England duo of Trent Alexander Arnold and Joe Gomez ahead of him in the pecking order.
The England international player was formerly the Reds’ first choice right-back before he suffered a serious injury.
During his time on the sidelines, the aforementioned duo emerged as reliable options in the right-back position.
Since his return from the serious injury, the former Southampton star has sparingly been used by his manager.
His situation is likely to remain the same at Anfield thus prompting talks of a move away from the club when the transfer window reopens in January.
Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Santo is said to be in the market for an able deputy for the impressive Matt Doherty.
The Republic of Ireland international right-back has impressed for Wolves since they returned to the English top flight and his manager is in search of a backup for him.
