Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was very much impressed with Victor Lindelof’s performance at Vicarage Road last night.
The Swede legend kept quiet Watford star player Richarlison during the 4-2 win on Tuesday night, and his manager was delighted with his performance.
The former Benfica defender was with big reputation before making the move to Old Trafford this summer, but struggled in his opening games at his new side.
However, it appears he is now adapting to life in the premier league, and the future appears to be bright.
He has started Man United’s last three league games and was able to keep Richarlison out of the 4-2 win against Watford yesterday.
Richarlison has been very much superb at Watford this season, and only a few defenders have achieved success in taming him during games.
Manchester United were able to earn all three points from the midweek premier league game, thanks to goals from Ashley Young, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard.
And while manager Jose Mourinho praised the trio, the former Chelsea boss heaped lots of praise on Victor after the win, especially for keeping Richarlison quiet in the game.
Mourinho believes Victor has got the agility that many other center defenders do not have.
“[Lindelof] is very fast and has adapted to play centrally.” Jose said.
