Brazilian midfielder Fred is officially a Manchester United player and manager Jose Mourinho is happy having the talented player in his team at Old Trafford.
The Portuguese tactician has tagged his new boy as a player with a ‘creative brain’ and a ‘passing vision’, and he made it known that these are the attributes he saw in the player that encouraged him to chase Fred.
Fred has signed a five-year deal with Manchester United to become the club’s second summer signing after now-former FC Porto defender Diogo Dalot.
It is understood the Old Trafford club have paid Fred’s former club (Shakhtar Donetsk) a fee in the region of £52 Million to bring him down to the Theater of Dreams ahead of the 2018/19 season.
Manager Jose Mourinho is excited to have the player with him at Old Trafford. Speaking while Fred was officially unveiled by Manchester United, the Portuguese boss said he is confident the Brazilian will complement the other midfielders in his team.
He told United’s official website that Fred’s ‘creative brain’ and ‘passing vision’ would help strengthen his side, and revealed how delighted he is to have the player at Old Trafford.
Fred himself is also excited to have joined the club, and the South American star believes he has found himself in the ‘biggest club in the world’.
