Premier League commentator and ESPN FC pundit Jon Champion is of the opinion that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho should not be sympathized with because he made himself the target.

Mourinho has suffered a lot of bashing in the controversies that resulted into crisis at the Old Trafford. He has been criticized for his negative attitude which caused the worst start United have recorded in almost 30 years.

The former Chelsea boss have been in the news for much negative reasons especially his rift with some of his players and his bust-up with the club’s executive vice-chairman, not to say much of his swipe at the media.

The Portuguese manager has claimed to be an innocent victim and has accused the media of getting at his back for no reason.

Champion stated that Mourinho makes everything about him by making himself the lightning conductor which is wrong for a manager who wants to achieve.

He made it clear that the Portuguese boss has distracted himself with a whole lot of unnecessary comments.

He, therefore, claims now that it is dawn on him, the United boss has himself to blame for the mess.

The Old Trafford side have lost three of their seven Premier League games and they are now seven points behind joint league leaders making the hope of a top for finish slim.
