What Mourinho must do to stop being ‘old fashioned’

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been unwittingly described as ‘old fashioned’ by former Red Devils midfielder Paul Ince.

Ince has thrown his weight behind the embattled manager but noted that he must adapt to the modern game and leave his ‘dinosaur’ approach in handling the Manchester side.

Calm is now returning to the Old Trafford after a difficult win against Newcastle on Saturday which made Jose Mourinho’s job secured.

It was earlier reported that the board had concluded plans to sack the former Chelsea manager owing to the bad results coming from the Old Trafford team but that might be a thing of the past with the club insisting that the manager has their backing, dismissing reports of his sack.

However, Ince feels the Saturday win could prove that Mourinho still has control of the dressing room and not the players, adding that it could be a beginning of the season for the United side.

The former United manager hints that the title race for the Mourinho side could be over as he would not be able to compete against other league contenders like Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea.

Mourinho has hinted that he will continue working to ensure he turn things around for his side.
