Good News To Fans As Mourinho Adds Two New Players To Champions League Squad

Man United boss Jose Mourinho has added the duo of Demetri Mitchell and Kieran O’Hara to the club’s Champions League squad.

Demetri made his debut last term during Man Utd’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace, but the 20-year-old is yet to make an appearance for Jose Mourinho’s first-team since that game.

Kieran O’Hara, on the other hand, is yet to play for his side’s senior team. But the young shot-stopper was on the bench as Mitchell made his debut against the Eagles back in May.

And after naming his 25-man squad for this term’s Champions League campaign last week, Mourinho have included both Mitchell and O’Hara on the B list.

The likes of Joel Pereira, Axel Tuanzebe and Marcus Rashford are also on Manchester United’s B list – which means any of these youngsters can be called upon at any point.

According to Uefa rules, anyone may be registered on the B list of the competition as long as he is born on or after 1 January 1996 and has been eligible to play for his side for any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday.

‘Clubs are entitled to register an unlimited number of players on List B during the season.’ the rule states.

Manchester United thrashed Basel 3-0 at Old Trafford on Tuesday night and will be returning to premier league actions this weekend.
