English star player Michael Keane is confessing that he had long thoughts over a potential return to his boyhood club Manchester United this summer. He, however, believes he made the right decision in moving to Goodison Park instead.
Keane left Man United two years ago in search of regular first-team football and has quickly established himself as one of the most promising defenders in the English top flight.
The defender was given the chance to re-sign for the red devils during the summer window, but he turned down the opportunity and instead complete a £30 Million move to Everton.
And speaking recently about his career and his decisions, Micheal made it known he is happy playing for a big club like Everton that has given him the chance to play in Europe.
He, however, added that when Man United came for him during the window, he thought about their offer throughout the summer as it was not an easy decision to make, considering that the Old Trafford club are one of the biggest clubs in the world.
‘[But] in the end, I [chose to] join Everton and I’m thankful to have done that [as] I think it’s going to be the best thing for me in the long run.’ he said.
Man United settled on bringing in former Benfica defender Victor Lindelof to Old Trafford after being ignored by Keane.
