Official: Attacker finally sign new Arsenal deal; reveal major reason he snubbed Manchester United

Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has signed a new deal with the Gunners because of the way Manchester United treated him, as per reports.

Ozil finally put pen to paper

The Gunners have announced the German has penned a new deal that will keep him at the side until the summer of 2021 and see the attacker become the club’s highest-earner on £350,000- weekly wages.

The Germany international attacker’s decision to remain at the Emirates Stadium has come as a major surprise with many football fans expecting the World Cup winner him to join Premier League rivals Manchester United this summer as a free agent.

But as per the Manchester Evening News, the playmaker has penned a contract extension with the North London outfit because of what the Red Devils did to him during transfer negotiations.

Man Utd approached Ozil

It is believed the Red Devils were in negotiations with the former Real Madrid star about a summer transfer.

United already raided the Gunners for one player in January, swapping Armenian attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan to seal the transfer of Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez.

But the publication report Man Utd were never seriously keen on signing the Germany international attacking midfielder.

It is believed they greeted the playmaker with a wall of silence when he wanted to know their final decision. And when Jose Mourinho’s team failed to get in touch with him, Ozil, 29, ultimately opted to stay back at Arsenal.

The real reason is he is nice and comfy (and rich) at Wenger’s Arsenal. He can do what he wants . NOT what a defence respecting Manager wants.
