€100m Chelsea Target In Showdown Talks Over Inter Future

West London giants Chelsea have been boosted by the news that one of their transfer targets held talks with Inter Milan officials over his future at the club.

Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi has been at the centre of several transfer rumours after he was dropped as the Nerazzuri captain.

Italian media outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport has revealed that Mauro Icardi held showdown talks with Inter Milan manager Luciano Spalletti for 15 minutes as his long-term future continues to be the subject of severe transfer speculation.

Argentine international Icardi has previously been linked with Chelsea and the Blues could capitalise on his situation at Inter Milan with a summer bid.

Chelsea are not the only club interested in a move for the 25-year-old with the Spanish duo of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid also keen on a transfer for him.

€100m-rated Mauro Icardi came through the Barcelona ranks before he joined Italian Serie A side Sampdoria.

The Argentine attacker has impressed a great deal since his move to Inter Milan in the summer of 2013.
