Man United get Munich competition for la Liga star in January window
English Premier League side Manchester United are keen on the signature of France international and Atletico Madrid defender Lucas Hernandez according to reports from the Spanish press.
Spanish news outlet OK Diario reports that United are faced with competition from German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich with both sides seeking to land him in the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.
It was earlier reported that a potential deal for Lucas Hernandez was already on the cards for the German Bundesliga giants but with the interest from the English club makes it fluid as they are now set for a fresh battle for his signature.
With a new manager at the Old Trafford, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to have more additions to the team as he has been saddled with the responsibility of returning the team back to winning ways.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is therefore expected to make some signings in the coming winter transfer window with Lucas Hernandez and other targets likely to have a switch to the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are still favourites in the race for the star defender which means United will have to do more to be able to secure his signature in the winter window.
