Mateo Kovacic

Real Madrid loanee midfielder and Croatia international, Matteo Kovacic moved to Stamford Bridge in the summer transfer window as part of the deal that saw Belgium international, Thibaut Courtois move to Real Madrid.

Ever since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, Matteo Kovacic has formed a part of the Blues key players at the midfield.

And he is one of the players new manager, Maurizio Sarri loves to start alongside N’golo Kante and Jorginho at the midfield.

Since Kovacic’s arrival at Chelsea, he has earned enough playing chances at Stamford Bridge, which he rarely got at Real Madrid.

So far, the Croatia international has made ten appearances for the Blues, with eight of it coming from the English Premier League.

But the future of the 24-year-old player is at stake at Chelsea, this is because he is only at the club on loan and may return to Real Madrid at the end of this season.

The young midfielder was questioned about his future at Chelsea and he was reluctant to answer the question.

  • He said “It’s too early for these questions, I am here and very happy.”

Kovacic also hinted he is happy playing regularly as he added that he is ”not used to playing every three or four games and here it is very tough football.”
