Former Arsenal man Martin Keown believes Manchester United can get the best from Alexis Sanchez if he can be utilised in a more central position than he played at the Emirates Stadium.
Sanchez has completed his move to Manchester United, and an official announcement is has been made by the red devils any moment from now.
Herinkh Mkhitaryan is already in London to replace the Chilean, and if everything should go unhindered in the next few hours, then Alexis should play his first game as a Man United player on Friday against Yeovil in the FA Cup.
And speaking recently about the 29-year-old, former Arsenal man Martin Keown believes the player is more effective playing in a deeper role, and can provide the necessary support Romelu Lukaku needs.
Martin told the Daily Mail that Lukaku needs fantastic players around him to give all necessary support, and he believes Alexis will love the idea of playing in a central position – closer to Romelu Lukaku.
However, the player’s arrival at Old Trafford will surely increase competition in Mourinho’s attack department.
Apart from Juan Mata, another player who could sit on the bench is Marcus Rashford.
Nevertheless, Martin believes the Englishman has all it takes to flourish at Old Trafford and is matured enough to handle the pressure.
